# Camera profile and NLP-profile

How do special camera profiles affect the conversion to NLP profiles?

With very limited testing, my experience has been that they make a mess. But I could have been doing something wrong. I’m getting good results using the default profiles. I think no matter what the profile one will always be making some adjustments to each capture.

This is about correct camera profiles: dcp.- or: icc. profiles. And here there seems to be positive effects. I would be interested in the actual impact on the nlp. profile.

It would also be interesting whether the selected camera profile affects the conversion to the nlp.profil at all.
