Sony is a bit different with how they name their camera models internally… look for “Sony ILCE-1M2” - which is how they internally designate the A1ii
I tried replacing each element but the only one that made a difference artifact-wise was replacing the LookTable. The ToneCurve was different, obviously, but did not change those particular results.

Are you able to try re-digitizing this same frame at a lower exposure and see if you still see this issue?
- I have noticed it on a few others, in particularly some foggy night streetlight photos.

It seems you were right (unsurprisingly, I suppose), dropping the exposure a bit improved the situation. It’s still crazy to me that we in 2026 don’t have some indicator of RAW clipping in all of our camera bodies…
indeed … and UniWB is not everyone‘s cup of tea. I use it for scanning because it provides a raw histogram that helps to set exposure more accurately. Nevertheless, I keep some empty space right of the histogram as recommended in the guide.
