Batch Photo Merge in LR?

Hi all,

I’ve settled into a decent routine with camera scanning (though I really need a better tripod head for leveling), but one thing remains seriously annoying. I scan 120 frames in 2 or 3 shots and stitch them together, and I really can’t stand the actual stitching process. Select 2/3 shots, right click, Photo Merge, Merge, wait for it to finish, repeat. Not the end of the world, but not extremely fun!

I’m wondering if there’s a way to do this faster. Ages ago I used Autopano, and it would detect separate panoramas in groups of images. There isn’t some sort of plugin that’ll do this in Lightroom, is there? At some point I read that you could at least stack the pano images together and batch merge those, but I couldn’t get it to work. If someone has advice on that, I’d be thrilled!

As far as I found on a page about “autostitch”, which is the main ingredient of autopano, autostitch was also licensed to serif. Maybe that their current Affinity Photo stitching is still able to auto-stitch?
