Hey guys I have been taking photos with film for some time now, and I wanted to start getting into doing the scanning on my own. I had been looking into my options, and right now I am trying to decide whether digital camera scanning is better or getting a scanner is better. I have an a6400 camera, with a sigma 30mm f/1.4 lens. I was trying to see if it would be cheaper to buy a new macro lens or just invest in a proper flatbed scanner. If you guys have any suggestions on lenses or scanners and potential setups that would be helpful too. My budget is around $2-300 right now.
I also want do know if using an extension tube on my current lens is also viable. please help!
