Hi there, I’ve been using negative lab pro for a couple of years now and I am getting a lot of use out of it. I’m now into the 4x5 film world and I had a question about scanning black and white. Do you think it makes any difference if I turn my Nikon D750 to monochrome mode when scanning B&W film?

No. It shouldn’t make a difference.
If you are shooting RAW (and you should be shooting RAW), then the picture mode you use on the camera should not have an effect on the underlying RAW file.
