Has anyone had issues with vibration that they were able to solve, outside of moving their rig onto a solid concrete floor away from traffic?
My first-floor studio overlooks a busy road with HGVs rattling past. I can scan after 8-9pm and that helps, but I was thinking some kind of vibration damping mat could help, directly under the copy stand and/or under the cabinet the copy stand is sat on.

I use a stack of two self-adhesive feet
for my latest, fairly heavy scanning setup.
A wall mounted shelf sometimes works for turntables.
If you could somehow contrive to attach your negative holder to your camera/lens setup along the lines of the Valoi easy120 that would make it much more immune from external factors. Similarly making sure that your current copy stand setup is as rigid and solid as possible of course.
One of several reasons I use flash.
I’ve played around with flash from time to time, indeed I started out using a Bowens Illumitran unit which is designed around high intensity flash (too high but that’s another story). That has a separate viewing/focusing light source, you switch from one to the other using a lovely large rocker switch on the front. How do you handle that aspect in your setup if you don’t mind me asking?
