NLP 3.1.1 Sliders Bug on Mac still requires no GPU acceleration?

Hello!

I’m using NLP 3.1.1 on the latest LRC 14.5.1 on a Macbook Pro M4 Max with 64GB Ram.

When i make changes using the sliders or dropdowns in NLP, nothing happens until i click the slider or dropdown a second time. This behavior is similar to this post from Dec 2019: NLP edit sliders not doing anything

When I disable GPU Acceleration, the edits work but there’s about a second to a second and a half delay.

Is this everyone’s experience with NLP? Is there a way to get faster performance? Is there a way I can leave GPU Acceleration enabled and not take this hit?

Do you see any difference when you use NLP in Library vs. Develop views?

Good question! just checked and indeed I do. In develop view it’s almost instant, smooth and fast. in library view there’s the second plus lag on seeing any changes.

Could we get library view to work as well as develop view?

Using Develop view is the currently recommended way to work, it seems to depend on how Lightroom presents images in the respective views. Therefore, it’s best to develop images in - develop view.

Unfortunately no.

This has to do with the way Lightroom is handling everything under the hood in the different modules. The library module just doesn’t dedicate a lot of resources to image editing (even when doing it outside of NLP).
