NLP film format metadata

Huge range of sizes, but where’s 127 roll film ???

Quite remarkable how good old 127 scans can be.
127 wasn’t used just in cheap Brownies, Rollei made a 127 twin lens reflex for a while too.

I don’t know if this list is complete, but there are many formats indeed.

Quite a list, but plenty of omissions on Wikipedia. Most obviously full frame 35mm !!!

The list in NLP’s metadata panel covers most common sizes that might get digitised, the two omissions are 127 and 126, both of which were widely used in their day and both had credible quality cameras made for the formats (as noted above by Rollei).
I’d guess that this could be a relatively easy thing to add in a future update to NLP.

…and if I might add to the wish list:

  • why not have a user editable list as an add-on for missing or favourite settings?

Go back and look at what it says about 135 stock that is what 35mm film is called.

My mistake, yes, they call 35mm 135, which is rather obscurely pedantic as few people use that term.
Still no mention of all the different frame formats used on 35mm though.
