Option for Slide Film

Hey Nate & Forum!

I’ve seen the entries for slide film and how people deal with it, though I feel we should have an option for slide film to work with directly with NLP. I’m now at a stage where I feel so comfortable working with NLP that I’m barely ever in the need to use Lightroom’s tools, except for dodge/burn, etc.

Furthermore the options in NLP are often better suited to work with film, e.g. brightness which I feel is a pain to do for film natively within Lightroom.

I’m aware I can use the NLP profiles but would appreciate an option to use NLP with linear profile and its other tool-set to work on my slide film scans.

I agree that having option to import transparencies would be valuable addition. So far most transparencies scan struggle with strong color fall-off in the shadows and darks. If nothing but linear profile is required, the simple demo walkthrough will certainly help.
