"Profile Missing" Error despite Profile being Installed

I’ve recently purchased NLP after trying out a trial version of the software. Notably, while using this trial version, my copy of Lightroom would always blare "Profile Missing” errors. I assumed this was just an error in the trial version.

Now having installed and activated NLP 3.1, i noticed the error was still present. I went to download and install the DCP profiles for my scanner (Plustek 135i), but it said the profile was already installed on my system. Double checking CameraProfiles in Camera Raw confirms this. I saw the workaround to refresh the camera profiles list via deleting the Index.dat file, but this does not seem to work. No matter what i do it seems lightroom is unable to detect the profile for the plustek 135i with my scanned DNG’s. Is there any solution to this?

Heres a download link to a reference DNG scanned with Vuescan from the PlusTek. Unfortunately i no longer own the scanner. If the case is so that i am unable to operate the scanner, I might pursue troubleshooting with camera scanning instead, though i would like to avoid this having scanned a dozen or so sheets on the plustek already.

I cant seem to find a resolution to this in the forums, sorry for double-posting if it has already

Hi,

Thanks for providing the sample DNG.

The issue is that when these were scanned in Vuescan the output was not correctly set to be 48-bit RGB output. This needs to be explicitly set on the output tab. If it is set to “auto” it can revert to 64-bit RGBi output which has an additional infrared layer which throws off Lightroom’s ability to apply the correct profile.

Instead of rescanning, you may be able to reopen these in Vuescan and use it to export to 48-bit RGB.
