All I am asking is for a dedicated density slider that doesn’t mess with the tonality or colors of the photo. Whenever I adjust brightness and exposure in NLP, the photos colors and tones shift. This isn’t usually the case in lab scanners. I find this issue occurs more in flash photos and it can be tricky and time consuming to correct. Not to mention that the three density settings don’t make any difference for most of my photos.
The “brightness” slider is essentially a density slider. If you are using the latest version, you should not see color shifts as you change the brightness, unless your negative is very thin.
You may also find improvements in the “refined” color process in v3.1 which reduces rounding errors that can occur on thin negatives.
