How to avoid positives being added to raw file collection

Hi! I am scanning my negs with a dslr, and then importing the raw files into lightroom classic. Then 1) I convert the negatives using NLP, 2) I got to the edit tab and check the box “make copy” and press “apply”. This generates the positives (which I’ll then edit). I have the positives set to show up in a different folder/collection. However, I also get the positive added to the raw collection, which is annoying. Is there some way to avoid this?

The simplest way to do this would be:

  1. Go to Library view
  2. In the left pane, click the “+” button to the right of “Folders”
  3. Unselect “Show Photos in Subfolders”

Now, you will not see the positive copy folder images alongside the original RAWs. You will need to navigate into the positive copy folder to see them.

Hope that helps!

Oh, that was easy! Thanks Nate!
