Using VueScan with Minolta Dimage 5400 scanning B&W negatives

What is recommended are the settings in VueScan the same as for color negatives in the guide provided?

OK I found the answer in the guide.

  • You should crop out non-film elements (or use a suitable “Border Buffer” setting to keep them from being evaluated)
  • When you open Negative Lab Pro, set Color Model: B+W – this is the most important step.
  • Go ahead and hit that CONVERT NEGATIVES button!
