I hope this is the right place to ask this question ?
Now that Adobe is altering their subscription costs I am asking if there is a possibility that
your great Lightroom plugin (Neg Lab Pro) can be made available for another editor -
like On1 RAW.
This is not a hugely urgent ask as I have a 12 month unchanged subscription presently,
I figure though it would be a heavy weight job of rebuilding for you, perhaps there are
many other users that could ask the same question.
I am assuming it will not install within ON1RAW already ?
In my case On1 Raw, has been getting better and better, I have been buying it’s licence
for many years now and it is a great contender for high level results.
Incidentally I have been buying Adobe licences since 1994 (Photoshop first & then Creative Suites) now continuing with their move to subscription.
I am retired now but love working with all this software for photography but mainly
digitising film with my Canon R5 and Canon RF 100 Macro, made my own railed holder and film
backlit adjustable set up - this keeps (35mm) film flat and square on to the sensor.
Another issue arising for Mac users is the pressure to move from the ageing
Intel processors to M devices - especially as AI progresses - it’s happier with CPU & GPU.
I have always preferred a lic as it doesn’t leave you high and dry if you stop your subs.
I also use Affinity software suite (lic) which is great set of tools and no doubt it is
about to be developed further to keep up with Adobe.
Looking forward to see if changes are possible in the future.
