Ghost Subfolders For Positive Copies

Hi! I have been having this issue across multiple versions of both NLP and Lightroom, currently using NLP v3.1.1 on Lightroom v14.5.1 (on an M4 MBP running MacOS 15.7).

Basically, every time I create a copy of an image using the “make copy” checkbox in NLP, it places that copy in a sort of “ghost” folder—with the same name as the origin subfolder—that appears in the Lightroom folder panel, but not on my actual hard drive. Any future copies from the same origin folder will be placed in new, different folders of the same name. My settings in NLP are set to stack copies, as are my Lightroom settings, and I am not getting this issue when creating ordinary virtual copies in Lightroom.

I feel like I am missing something very obvious. Has anyone had this issue and knows how to remedy it?

Hmm, that’s strange.

If you go to the Advanced tab in Negative Lab Pro, what are your positive copy settings?

And do you have the same issue if you right click on the image, select Export, then “NLP - Positive Copy”?
