LR CC Update Allows External Editors - But Not NLP?

Because of its plug-in support of NLP, I’ve been using Lightroom Classic to import my Nikon Z8 scans. But most of my image editing and all of my filing is done in Lightroom CC (also simply called Lightroom by Adobe). Good news is that the newest update to Lightroom CC allows external editing (Nik, Topaz, etc.) But when I imported a scanned negative file today into Lightroom CC and tried to edit externally, “Negative Lab Pro” did not show up as an option (even after changing the NEF into a DNG).

Anyone else trying this in Lightroom CC, version 8.0?

NLP is a plugin for Lightroom Classic, not an external app.

From the NLP installation instructions:

Lightroom Classic or Lightroom 6 (historic) must be installed prior to running the installer.

NLP will not run in Lightroom CC (Creative Cloud).
