I’m trying to save my own NLP settings presets, but they are nowhere to be found after saving.
Settings > Create New Preset… I give it a name and hit save preset.
But I cannot find the new preset anywhere. Not in the NLP pull down menu, not in the LrC User Presets section.
Furthermore, when I reopen NLP, the settings revert to NLP Standard and the colours jump around, so I can’t even make adjustments to the settings that were there previously. If I make adjustments and DON’T save a preset, I can reopen NLP and the settings are as I left them.
Help?

Ok what the hell is happening. Now, randomly, a preset I created earlier IS showing up in the LrC User Presets menu, but still not either of the two I’ve tried creating since then. AND, in a new image, I made adjustments in NLP and saved a preset, closed NLP, reopened NLP and… the setting DIDN’T change this time. I’m getting HELLA random behaviour here. Honestly I’m about ready to smash my head against the wall.
I’m having similar issues. Presets wont save and on some images, after I make edits and save them, opening NLP again brings me to the “Convert Image” page, as if it doesn’t realize or remember that I had already converted it and made edits.
This seems to only happen on images that I tried to save my NLP settings as a preset. For those that I didn’t try to save settings as preset, the NLP window opens back up to my previously made edits just fine.
Same here. Created a preset, saw it in the user drop down before hitting apply, applied preset, opened NLP again and the saved preset is missing from the menu.
Same happening for me, I create a user preset, give it a name, save and when I pull them drop down menu back down it shows fine. Then when I close out or move on to the next image the preset disappears and doesnt appear to have saved.
I changed staff rights to Read & Write and applied it to all items within. Now, things work as expected.
I just had issues with saving presets and defaults with NLP 3.1.1 , but that’s gone after having ser R/W to the “staff” group. (tested on macOS Tahoe and a 2020 M1 MBA)
@nate Hello. I have the same issue - user presets are saved but disappear after closing the program. Changed folder permissions but the issue remains (I have also noticed, that for me NLP automatically installs into the Adobe folder).
I have tried to manually create folders and changed the location to match your example (and gave full permission to the folder), but its still did not solve the presets issue.
sorry, I’m new to Mac and for me “Show Library folder” was unchecked, therefore I couldn’t find the NLP Presets folder! I have now finally found it and changed the access - the presets ARE SAVING! Thank you very much.
