Why is my curve looking like this?

I am using Canon 5Dsr and 100mm macro lens, I am illuminating the negative with a modified flash studio strobe I put in a box and the negative is in Essential film holder. I cannot seem to make the curve any better than this and when i edit it so the whites and the blacks are filled, the final image is trully trash with artefacts and all. Can someone help? I am using Capture one and tethered shoot

If I understand your process, you do the following

  1. Capture negatives with camera tethered to Capture One
  2. Import captured image in Lightroom
  3. Apply NegativeLab Pro

If this is the case, then you could check a few things

  1. Does Capture One apply any preset or automatic adjustment on import?
    → Make C1 import images without any adjustments
  2. Are the files RAW files? Or CRAW or compressed RAW?
    → Set your camera to write RAW files (not CRAW or compressed RAW of JPEG)
  3. Does Lightroom apply any preset or automatic adjustment on import?
    → Make LrC import without any adjustments
