"an internal error has occured" - bad argument

Hello,

After importing the scans into light room and click on convert scans I get this error. “An internal error has occured - bad argument #1 to ‘pairs’ (table expected, got nil)”. The only thing that I can think of that started this error is when I started adding “film type” and “film format” in the metedata field on import(which I believe where added with negative lab pro). That the only change I have noticed that has been contributed to this error. After the initial pop up with failure message I can just launch negative lab pro again and it starts where it left off.

Thank you for looking into this.

I’ve been seeing this error periodically myself. Kind of disappointing to see no feedback in a year.

Can you see if the v3.1 beta fixes this?

I just installed v3.1 beta and have this error coming up with every batch conversion I make. Single negatives still work.

MacBook Pro Intel Chip
MacOS Sequoia 15.3.2
Lightroom Classic 14.2
VueScan 9.8.45

I’m getting it too on occasion. running NLP 3.1.1 in LRC 15.2. MacBook Pro OS 26.3

New to NLP as of today and I was getting this error with monochrome scans from Silverfast SE Plus 9. The were scanned as bwHRD but not 48bit RGB. I then tried scanning with vuescan set exactly the same as colour settings minus the IR scan. These opened fine as a batch of 6 files.

Maybe the others seeing this error message aren’t ensuring the files are saved as 48 bit RGB DNG’s.

I was originally replying for the same reason then remembered I read in the guide for setting up vuescan you commented that B&W should also be set as 48bit RGB .
Setting this (and turning off IR scanning for B&W) worked fine for me.

Hope this helps others to sort out this issue.
