"Bake in" NLP conversion for further editing

I’ve been using NLP for a couple of months, and it mostly works fine. But I haven’t figured out how to bake in the NLP conversion from negative to positive, such that I can perform further editing just as if the image came from a digital camera. As it stands, all the post-conversion controls are backwards, and I’m unable to easily use any of Lightroom’s typical editing features.

Anyone know how to do this? Maybe it’s a setting somewhere?

Yep!

You’re looking for the "positive copy" feature.

The easiest way to do this is just to select “Make Copy”, then hit “Apply” and it will make a positive copy for you…

In the “Advanced” tab, there are more options you can fine-tune to get the positive copy settings you want.

If you don’t want to open Negative Lab Pro to do this, you can also select the images that you want to edit as a positive, then “right-click > export > NLP - Positive Copy.” This will have the same affect, one way just may fit better into your workflow.
