Is it possible to change settings like exposure _after_ I have applied conversions? NLP forgets everything?

Why doesn’t NLP just reopen the previous conversion from the metadata? I ask because in particular editing after converting with NLP is super difficult. Changes in exposure and so forth create color shifts, everything seems backwards, etc. Why doesn’t NLP remember and reopen the conversion settings just as I had them? Am I doing something wrong? Is it truly my last change to edit the image before I hit “apply”?

Hi,

All of the changes that you make inside of Negative Lab Pro should persist so you can reopen that image in Negative Lab Pro later and it will still have the same settings and you can continue to adjust them.

Are you making changes in Lightroom? Many of these won’t work quite right unless you make a “positive copy” first. You can learn more about positive copies here.

If you really are finding that changes that you make inside Negative Lab Pro itself are not persisting, than something has gone wrong and I can work with you to figure out how to get that working.

Nate

Gotcha. Interestingly it wasn’t working during the trial period but now that I have a proper license, it does seem to reload the metadata and allow edits. Might be user error, but I’m pretty sure it wasnt working
