After trialing the plugin, the results were excellent so I proceeded to purchase. Thanks for the great work.
I’m using Vuescan to scan to DNG and Lightroom Classic 9.3.
I go through all of the steps: Updating the profile, reading the metadata, editing EXIF metadata, converting the negative, and making the edits. I sync the settings to the other negatives. That all works great. At the end after applying the changes, there is an exclamation mark at the top right of every thumbnail in Lightroom. The popup says “Metadata has conflict” (Some of them say “Metadata was changed externally”). If I click the exclamation, I get the following dialog:
“The metadata for this photo has been changed by both Lighttoom and another application. Should Lightroom import settings from disk or overwrite disk settings with those from the catalog?” The options are to Import, Overwrite or Cancel. Which is the correct thing to do to not lose the work done? Or should I just turn off the warning from the options and ignore it?
Additionally, I have noticed that after the step “Read Metadata from File” to get the profile information, the first negative always says profile missing even though it’s clear from the thumbnail that the profile has been applied. Minor issue because closing and opening LR clears the error.
Thanks in advance,
AJ
