NLP 3.0.2 Suddenly Errors, Won't Convert, But Thinks It Has

Windows 11 Pro version 10.0.22631
Lightroom Classic v14.1.1
NLP version 3.0.2

NLP was working great and I had been using it heavily for the last week or so without any issues. Then all the sudden I tried to do more conversions and got the following error. This message comes up as it says it has converted the negative (although it hasn’t).

“An internal Error has occurred: [String “Imageio Settings”]:100:attempt to call global ‘nan’ (a nil value)”

The message generally appears twice, regardless of how many images i’m trying to convert. Lightroom is still logging some changes in the history tab.

I have tried disabling/re-enabling NLP, re-downloading NLP, uninstalling and reinstalling Lightroom Classic and can not get around this error.

Any help or recommendations so I can get back to conversions would be very helpful.

Assuming that nothing else was changed on your computer, the following, as proposed in other posts, might help: Reset the Lightroom preference settings.

Please note that resetting the preferences changes all your custom settings which can be a pain to redo - unless you have e.g. screen captures of them.

Thank you. I did try that and it didn’t seem to change anything. I tried turning off roll analysis and have been able to get it to do some conversions. I will do that again and turn on roll analysis for my next batch of conversions. I will let you know how it goes.

Well, after having tried many things because of other errors, I downgraded LrClassic to version 13.4 and haven’t had any issues again - on my Mac. Not sure if it will help in your case, but it might be worth trying.

Thank you again for your help. Looks like I may have to try that. I tried again today. I was able to convert a single roll and then thought I’d try to re-enable roll analysis. Once I re-enabled roll analysis the error again. This time I wasn’t able to uncheck it and have it work. I’d still really like a better solution that downgrading lightroom, but I very much appreciate your help to at least get me a work around.

For posterity: I tried rolling back to several different lightroom versions, the error persisted even on older versions including v13.4. I also tried multiple times to reset my preferences to no avail. Ultimately, I started reviewing any new programs, I had changed in the last few weeks. At this point I remembered I had upgraded my RAM the week before I had these issues. I updated my BIOS/UEFI and retrained my DDR5. After that, I was unable to duplicate the error. It has been two days and I believe the issue is resolved, including using roll analysis.
